I am telling you what the Bible teaches, Dan. Your problem is with God, not me. What you or I think doesn't matter. That's the reality of it. Quit whining.

Absolute truths have been admitted....
by Shining One ini had to wade through a lot of muck to find anyone with any reasonable arguments in my last post.
most were just the usual personal attacks from the fringe and their flock of followers.
instead of dealing with them, i have decided to post one response to those who made some valid points.

>What an evening. These two imagined themselves moderates. Perhaps they are. How familiar their thinking was. They imagined themselves rational thinking people pointing out the obvious while asserting wild stereotypical rubbish. A man from a third world country which beats up or kills gays is suggesting America's tolerance of gays is responsible for our country's collapse? If this was true can you imagine what Pakistan would be like if they became tolerant of gays too?
They are moderates in comparison to the Jihadists: these ones are not strapping on bombs and running towared the nearest group of Jews with 77 virgins in their dreams. I have been tryong to reach peole here with this message. What continues to happen is peopel stick their heads in the sand and compare them to fundamentalist Christians. This is a ridiculous comparison. Our radicals are like the idiots protesting the funerals of our fallen soldiers. Another example would be the few who chose to murder an abortionist or bomb a clinic.
These Muslims are just telling you what the wonderful religion of peace is all about. They describe what they have been taught and guess what? Transplanted and western raised Islamists are now being numbered among the terrorists. We saw it in Madrid and London. Now it is in Toronto. You better face up to it. Islam's strongest complaint about the western world is not Christianity. It is our secular values and laws. This culture war that the radical gays have begun is now polarizing the rage of Islam in western countries.
The leaders in Islam know that the cultural elites are trying not to notice the threat they pose. They also know that Christianity has not waged war against them for hundreds of years. That is why they are bold: they exploit a cultire weakened by materialism, multiculturalism (no assimilation of immigrants), hedonism and feminist castration of the male population. Welcome to the real world.

Since so many of you keep avoiding the primary issue in two other threads, chew on this one! Terry said this:
>LIFE is at the basis of reality for humans. What enhances and improves our life is the core of our morality; the core of our LAW.
Really, then how can it be 'moral' to abort a premature baby of say, 3 months, 6 months or almost due and partially birth him/her as you kill it? If that is 'moral' then what about just dumping them in the trash can, after all it is a woman's right now to kill any life within her if she so chooses? Why should that few inches from womb to exit make any difference? Why is it 'immoral' to execute a murderer but not 'immoral' to abort a baby (a typical liberal belief contradiction)? I remember the 60's and 70's well. This kind of thing was practically unheard of and now it is ROUTINE. Society is on the downward grade and just like Rome, this civilization is headed for a fall.
Again I ask, if their is no absolute truth then how can you justify any law? How can there be any moral law when you refuse to admit there must be a Divine Arbiter to set that moral law? I have just used one of the same examples again to help you recognize (and admit the validity of) the point.

Sheesh,
Do you ever have a (even) one line answer that actually speaks to the subject and point of the thread?

>A very kind summary Kid-A, thank you.
Kid-A fits into your theology quite nicely, Jgnat. Have you invited hubby, pastor, maybe the Sunday school class to see the REAL opinions that you hold? You know, the ones NOT expressed in the creed of the church you say you belong to....your opinions fit into the Universalist mold, where there are great, Bible believers like Rev. Barry Lynn of the ACLU. By jove, I think that even Bishop Spong (the ding-dong) would be aghast at your 'bedfellows'!LOL

"Going by this premise there are no laws that should be enacted, much less enforced! There is no absolute truth, everyone? We have to be consistent, don't we? You are trapped in a 'argument by suicide'."
Speak to the question, Great Brain: give us your self infatuated opinion and forget the snide remarks...

Trevor,
1) God created us, when it comes to judgement that is to His divine providence. To slur the one who sets our days and the way we ALL die is a contadiction in logic. You are attempting to compare apples to not only other fruit but to the whole world. The two situations are not in the same boxing ring, much less the same arena!
2) Christians are not in agreement over the literal acceptance of the histories of the Old Testament. For example, some view those histories as Jewish apologetics for their own actions.
3) None of this gets anywhere close to the point I was making and I think you know that. This is the typical answer that you seem to have as I believe you actively hate Christianity by ANY definition.

Little Toe,
Does God define it as 'compromise'? That is where your question should be directed and the answers are in scripture.....
